Nov 9, 2019 Christele, Loane, and I went shopping in the city of Caen and were able to compare shops, holiday sales, and popular items for sale in our perspective countries. The girls showed me their favorite stores and favorite times of the year to shop because of sales or good trends. It was a great experience to learn about each other's shopping culture while also comparing popular brands and shops.

Nov 8, 2019 As a family we watched the Wizard of Oz with English voice and French subtitles. I explained the significance of this film in American culture, the plot line, and how important this film was as it is one of the first films in color. I explained that the music and characters are so iconic, that the songs are recognizable by most Americans and that it is very common for people on Halloween to dress up as the charters from this movie. It was a great way to learn new vocabulary and train the human ear to recognize the English language, while also learning about some iconic American figures.
