Alumni Global Council

  • Together this diverse network will challenge and inspire each other to grow as global leaders and develop initiatives that will leave a lasting impact in the communities where they live and serve.

  • Greenheart’s Alumni Council act as the organization’s Junior Board. Council members play an active role in shaping alumni programming, communications, events, and professional development. This shift allows for deeper engagement, stronger leadership opportunities, and a more sustained connection to Greenheart’s mission of connecting people and planet.

    Alumni Council members play an integral role in furthering the Greenheart mission by:

    • Spreading the Greenheart brand in their local communities
    • Supporting Greenheart donor engagement.
    • Building up a strong alumni network in their regions.
    • Identifying and strengthening relationships with other changemakers around the world.
    • Becoming a proud Greenheart brand ambassador.

    Examples of the programming and content provided by the Council:

    • Virtual Meet-ups: Quarterly (once every 3 months)
    • Newsletter: Sent monthly
    • Monitor LinkedIn and Alumni groups: Weekly
    • Initiatives planned, as needed

    Structure of the Board

    • Chair – Oversees the board (Greenheart staffer)
    • Vice Chair – Supports and acts as lead from alumni (2-year term)

    • Marketer – Oversees communication and marketing needs (2-year term, OPEN)
    • Secretary – Responsible for notes and agenda (1-year term, renewable, OPEN)
    • Researcher – Researches speakers/opportunities (1-year term, renewable, OPEN)
